Here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the South Tyrolean mountains – extending from the imposing Ortles/Ortler to the Dolomites – a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Varied hiking trails suitable for all preferences and fitness levels take you to rustic Alpine pastures or mountain peaks with stunning views. Action-packed mountain bike trails with 360° panoramic views lead along forests and Alpine meadows – a particularly immersive way to experience the breathtaking natural landscape.

Those who prefer a cosy atmosphere can indulge in authentic South Tyrolean cuisine at traditional mountain huts. What’s more, Merano/Meran 2000 also caters to the younger crowd: the Outdoor Kids Camp situated at the cable car mountain station provides the perfect environment for children to unleash their energy and have a great time.

Not far from our sports hotel in Schenna, you can experience the breathtaking diversity of the region while climbing. On the Taser Alm mountain pasture in Schenna, you will find the Taser high ropes course – a fantastic destination for a family climbing holiday in South Tyrol. Under the guidance of professional mountain guides, you can ascend to heights of up to 15 metres. The most notable feature of the Taser high ropes course is the 45-metre-long suspension bridge with the Flying Fox, a 60-metre-long zipline. The spectacular panoramic view from the Ortles/Ortler mountains over the Texel Group to the Stubai Alps is also an unforgettable highlight.

You can also explore the Xsund high ropes course in Terlan (ideal for families), the Saustall climbing area in Naturns for true professionals (with some of the most difficult climbing routes in South Tyrol), the Burgstallknott climbing area in Partschins (perfect for beginners but not suitable for children), and the challenging Heini-Holzer via ferrata over the south-west flank of the Piccolo Ivigna/Kleiner Ifinger (self-belaying required) during your active holiday in South Tyrol.
